Add a touch of French elegance to your home with this sensational Napoleon II1 Mirror. Superb quality and beautifully proportioned French 19th century gilt overmantel mirror with original deep bevelled plate glass, circa 1860. The cartouch is decorated with ribbons, acanthus leaves topped with a flaming torch and quivers, classical urns with Greek key and further draped acanthus. Flanked by fluted and turned columns topped with ionic capitols on squared bases with medallions and finials to the underside. This is an impressive mirror, certainly a statement piece for any mantle piece or console table. The original deep bevelled mirror is in great condition with no foxing or blemish. There is a secure hanging chain fitted, so it will just require a secure screw fitting on your wall, or you may prefer to hang it with a pair of mirror plates.
